Hi my name is Branden Smalley, I have been married to my “smoking hot wife” Bri since 1999. As my wife noted, we have three (3) boys: Dylen, Josiah and Tytus. I have been involved with youth ministry for since 2000. I have a passion for youth kids and want them to come to the understanding that there is a God that loves and adores them. I was not privileged to know this when I was a youth and had no clue as to who this Jesus was. I came to the knowledge of Jesus when my mother passed away…when this situation happened, I realized that I would eventually die. The bible tells us that it is appointed for man to die once then comes judgment. When I found this out, I knew that I would stand before a Holy God and would have to give an account for my life. Moreoever, I came to the understanding that Jesus is the only way! He is the only way to heaven and because of his death; I have been forgiven of my blemishes.

My name is Bri Smalley. I have been married to my high school sweetheart since 1999. We have 3 awesome boys; Dylen, Josiah, and Tytus. I accepted Jesus as my personal Savoir as a teen, which is why I have such a passion to serve in youth ministry. Branden and I have served off and on in youth ministry since 2000. (And the passion continues to grow!!) We are so excited to watch and be a part of God’s hand working in Alien Youth) I know it is so difficult to stand for your beliefs and live with integrity in this current world. I pray that we can be a safe place for the youth of this generation.

My name is T.J. Luttrell and I have been married to my lovely wife Karissa since 2006. We have a beautiful girl named Kaiya. My family is one of the most important things in my life. The only thing I hold higher is my dedication to God.I grew up understanding who God was, but only through my mom’s dedication to Him, never my own. I lived a life of selfishness, getting into drugs and many other rebellious acts at the age of 12 and lived this way till I came to truly know who God was personally in February of 2006. I desire to serve the youth because I was there and remember the pain and struggles of middle school and high school. I want to be there for the youth; to share the love of God that has been given to me so freely.

Hey! My name is Karissa Luttrell. I have been married to the love of my life since 2006 and we have a beautiful daughter, Kaiya. I grew up in an LDS family and wanted God but couldn’t seem to find Him. I was 16 years old when I first felt the Holy Spirit during a drama my boyfriend brought me to. That changed everything. I chose to believe and follow Jesus. I spent a couple months figuring out what I had felt and who God truly was. He is a God who would send down His Son for me because of how much He loves me even when I sin and daily choose other things in front of Him. I have a heart for the youth ministry because that was the toughest time for me. I remember days when I didn’t want to live anymore, that my problems seemed bigger than the world. I know what it’s like to live the teenage years without God and with God. My prayer is that I will be a vessel that God can use to reach out to our youth and show them that they have an awesome and loving God that desires a personal, intimate relationship with us. I have a passion for missions and dramas; serving God is my ultimate joy in life!

My name Marty Luttrell I am currently a student at Boise State University seeking my secondary education degree in mathematics. I plan to teach in high school and high school kids. I gave my life to the Lord through a basketball minstry in Febuary 2007. The reason I help with youth group is that it's not always cool to talk to your parent about what is going in their lives, I want to be there to listen and encourage them in finding their faith in Jesus.

I am in youth leadership for more than one reason. I first got involved because I had decided that I want to be a middle school music teacher, and I figured spending time with middle school kids would help to confirm or negate that decision. However, it did not take very long before I began to build relationships with the kids and realized that I really do love working with middle school kids. Aside from this, my second major reason to be involved in youth ministry is that I have a heart for preparing kids for what is going to happen after they graduate from high school and are on their own. As a student at a private Christian college, I have many friends who have struggled deeply with this transition because, even though they were involved in every youth ministry possible, they were never given the tools, knowledge, and/or opportunity to really make their Christianity their own and not just something to do on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights because that was what their families did. Although many of my friends were able to work through this and come out stronger in their faith because of it during their time at college, there are also many who quickly and easily fell away and adopted pagan lifestyles that will only further separate them from Christ. It is my hope that alien youth can be a place where out students learn to take ownership of their faith and grow in it so that they will be prepared for the time of testing that will come the transition to adulthood.

Hi, my name is Jackie Miller, and I have been affiliated with The Rock for the past three-four years. I went to college at Northwest Nazarene University where I began attending The Rock's college group for young adults. I graduated in 2008 and now teach 4th grade at Ronald Reagan Elementary. I love teaching, and I love kids! I enjoy getting to know children and teens and look for ways that I may serve them in the church. I love being involved with the children in Sunday School Rockstars and the Youth with Alien Youth. My ministry is centered on God's greatest commandments: loving God and loving others. Alien Youth provides a unique opportunity for me to do this. It is an exciting adventure to meet, learn about, and disciple youth. I am grateful for this incredible opportunity and the positive effect I can have on others and they can have on me. I look forward to the fun and exciting adventures ahead.

My name is Brian Berrelez and God brought me to The Rock in late summer of 2008. "I have been crucified with Christ and it is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me" (Galatians 2:20) is a saying to be true. One's heart can become hardened over time. Habits develop and addictions set in. Relationships start good only to end bad. Behavior patterns develop over time and anger inceases. You become influenced by things and follow a false sense of security and belief. The heart becomes hardened and you just don't care for anything, including yourself. The only thing one can do, is cry out. When one cries out to our Creator, He listens. Christ has given me a new life in Him and I live to serve Him. I am in Alien Youth because I love the Lord. I want to help the youth embrace and develop an intimate relationship with their Creator. To teach them and show them how to follow God and His ways. To know that His ways are not a burden and to help them develop a passion and deep love for Him and His word.
